What Sapphire Grading Means

Sapphires are more than gemstones, they are energy carriers, investments, and symbols of intention. To help you choose with clarity, we follow industry-standard grading along with our own spiritual insight.

Sapphires are graded based on the 4Cs:

  • Colour

  • Cut

  • Clarity

  • Carat

Each stone is then assigned a Ceyvora & Co quality tier: Earth, Premium and Signature

The 4Cs of Sapphire Grading

1. Colour

Colour has the biggest impact on value
Sapphire colour is evaluated by three parts:

  • Hue: The actual colour (e.g., royal blue, greenish-blue)

  • Tone: How light or dark it appears

  • Saturation: How vivid and intense it is

Royal blue with medium tone and vivid saturation is most prized

2. Clarity

Refers to natural inclusions inside the stone.

  • High-grade stones have very slight inclusions (VVS–VS)

  • Some inclusions can reflect a stone’s natural origin or story

  • Eye-clean stones appear clearer and brighter

At Ceyvora, inclusions are considered both scientifically and spiritually

3. Cut

Impacts how the stone reflects light and shows color

  • Look for symmetry, polish, and centered tables

  • Common cuts: oval, cushion, step-cut, brilliant

Well-cut stones radiate harmony and energy flow

4. Carat (Weight)

  • Carat refers to the weight of the sapphire

  • Larger stones are rarer and more valuable

Size enhances energy presence - but resonance (deeply aligned/connected) is key

Grading vs. Personal Connection

Grading helps explain the quality of a sapphire - like its color, clarity, and size. But what matters most is how the stone connects with you.

Whether you choose an Earth-grade sapphire for daily calm or a Signature-grade gem to mark a meaningful moment, the right stone will speak to you in a way that feels personal and true.

At Ceyvora, we help you find the gem that fits your energy, your story, your purpose.
